SIGN UP

  1. Sign up with youXtools to create an account.

CREATE PROJECT

  1. After sign up you will be taken to your default dashboard: “Projects”. This is where all current and past projects will live.
  2. Select “Create New Project”.
  3. If you want multiple studies within a project repeat steps 3-8.

ADD STUDY TO PROJECT

  1. Click “BOOMERANG”

SELECT PARTICIPANT TYPE

  1. Express Participants: Select how many participants you would like to have in the study and choose 5 specific demographics to narrow down the participant pool.
  2. Your Participants: Input the information for your participants so we can send them the project information.
  3. Premium Participants: Input how many people you want and choose up to 25 specifications to narrow the recruit down. We will get back to you with test ready participants in 3 business days.

CREATE YOUR TEST PLAN

  1. Select add on features that would like to include in your study: youX Score, AMI or a different language. You can choose to include all the features or none of them.
  2. Next, paint a picture for those who will be testing your project. Give a couple sentence summary and enter in the URL the participants will test.
  3. Define the tasks you would like them to complete. There can be as many tasks as you want, but remember participants may be limited by time.
  4. Then you have the option to have participants reflect on their overall experience and ask last minute questions. Type the question you want to ask them and their text entry response will be included in reporting.

REVIEW AND PAY

  1. This screen shows you your study at a glance, including the cost. If any changes need to be made, go back and correct them. If everything is set up how you want it, continue to the next step.
  2. Complete the form with your accurate information to confirm payment.

LAUNCH

  1. You will be taken to a screen asking if you are ready to launch the test. You have the option to “Yes, send to all participants” or “No, I will launch my study later”. Launching the study will send it out immediately to participants. Launching your study later will save your study within the project you created in Step 2 until you are ready.

VIEW RESULTS

  1. To view responses, log into your youXtools account, select your desired project, and choose the study you want to view. Once you click a project, you will see all the studies within that project under its name.
  2. Click on the “Report” tab to view the results.

  1. Your Participants: Input the information for your participants so we can send them the project information.
  2. Premium Participants: Input how many people you want and make 25 specifications to narrow the recruit down. We will get to you within 3 business days with recruits. If you want, you can continue through the rest of the steps to create your study, but you will not be able to launch until we provide you with your participants.

  1. Select add on features, like a different language or emotion tracking, to include it in your study. You can choose to include all the features or none of them.
  2. Next, select the questions participants will be asked to complete in the entry. There are 6 question types to choose from, but you can add up to 10 questions.
    Note: If you choose 3 different questions for an entry, those 3 questions are what the participant will complete every day.
  3. Here, you have the option to have participants reflect on their overall experience and ask last minute questions. Type the question you want to ask them and their text entry response will be included in reporting.
